Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Cube Runner collects no personal data. No account to create, no advertising, no tracker, no usage statistics, nothing sold on to anyone.
The only information you make public is your leaderboard entry: a nickname you choose and your score. Nothing else leaves your phone.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to the game Cube Runner
(cuberunner.) distributed on Google Play, and to it alone.
What stays on your device
The game stores locally, in its own private storage area, what it needs in order to work:
- your progress, your scores, your settings and your nickname;
- the music that goes with the game;
- a little cached data, so the game stays usable without a connection.
These items stay on the device and disappear when the game is uninstalled.
What is transmitted
The game only sends what is needed to keep track of your place on the leaderboard: the nickname you chose, your score, and the few technical elements that let the server accept it.
Nothing else. No personal information is sent, and nothing else stored on your phone either: the game only ever reads its own data, never that of the other applications or of the system. No device identifier, no advertising identifier, no e-mail address and no location data accompanies these exchanges.
As with any internet connection, the server technically sees the device's IP address for the duration of the request: it is neither cross-referenced, nor used to track you, nor passed on to a third party. The leaderboard and the game's files are hosted in France.
Your nickname
A nickname is asked for before your first game: you choose it yourself, freely, and can change it at any time in the Options. It is visible to other players, since it identifies you on the leaderboard.
That is all it is used for. It is tied to no account, no device identifier and no e-mail address: the game has nothing else to tie it to, and no other information about you is used. Two players can even pick the same nickname without the game being able to tell them apart.
Tip: choose a nickname that does not identify you - avoid putting your first and last name, your e-mail address or your phone number in it. A made-up nickname does the job perfectly.
What the game does not do
- no account, no sign-up, no personal password;
- no advertising and no in-app purchases;
- no third-party SDK for analytics, audience measurement or tracking;
- no advertising identifier and no device identifier;
- no access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or files;
- no cookie, no profiling, no automated decision-making;
- no sale or sharing of data for commercial purposes.
The only Android permission requested is internet access, needed for the leaderboard and for the game's music.
Playing offline
The game remains fully playable without a connection: the online leaderboard is simply unavailable, and everything else stays on your device until the connection comes back.
How long data is kept
A leaderboard entry (nickname and score) is kept for as long as it appears on the scoreboard. The data stored on your device stays there until the game is uninstalled or its data is cleared from the Android settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the leaderboard entry matching your nickname. A simple request to the address below is enough; state the nickname concerned. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Children
The game collects no personal data and displays no advertising: it is suitable for all audiences. As the leaderboard is public, younger players are advised to choose a nickname that does not identify them.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page, with the date shown at the top updated accordingly. A change affecting the data transmitted will come with a game update.
